PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dynamo-electric machine reducing cogging-torque pulsations due to a shrinkage-fit stress and being capable of suppressing vibrations and noises by changing the configuration of a projecting section as an abutting section formed onto the internal side face of a housing case or the external side face of a core. SOLUTION: The dynamo-electric machine has an approximately cylindrical support section 12, the core 1 with a plurality of teeth 11 projected inward in the axial direction and the housing case 4. Projections 13 made in the direction of the housing case 4 or the direction of the core 1 and extended in the axial direction between both bases are formed on at least either of the external side face of the core 1 and the internal side face of the housing case 4, wherein the number of those projections is neither the divisor nor the multiple of the least common multiple of the number of poles of the dynamo-electric machine M and the number of slots. The core 1 is held to the housing case 4 by making the projecting sections 13 abut against the external side face of the core 1 or the internal side face of the housing case 4.
