PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of more precisely stabilizing the image density of an intermediate tone part, as compared with prior art. SOLUTION: This image forming device is provided with a control part for carrying out determination processing for determining a developing bias value capable of obtaining a target dark gradation density, and an exposure quantity capable of obtaining an intermediate tone density, by using the developing bias value, based on a result of an image density of a solid toner patch detected by a reflection type photosensor, and based on a result of an image density of an intermediate tone toner patch detected by the reflection type photosensor, by forming the prescribed solid toner patches H1 through H3 and the intermediate tone toner patch S2. In the image forming device, the control part executes correction processings of correcting the exposure quantity determined by the determination processing, to bring the exposure quantity within the range, from a prescribed lower limit exposure quantity up to an upper limit exposure quantity, when the exposure quantity determined by the determination processing comes out of the range, and of correcting the developing bias value determined by the determination processing to a value that corresponds to the exposure quantity within the range.
