PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified roll holder to be used for setting a roll of cleaning paper on a cleaner for a screen printing machine. SOLUTION: The roll holder 13 is formed of a rubbery elastic material such as a urethane rubber, with an insertion part 14 to be inserted into the terminal aperture of a cylindrical core material 12, being of a tapered shape becoming gradually smaller in diameter toward the end of the direction where the part 14 is inserted. In addition, this insertion part 14 is formed in a sectionally non-circular shape having a cut surface realized in the direction where the part 14 is inserted, at two spots of the tapered shape. On top of that, the insertion part 14 of this roll holder 13 has a hole part 16 passing through each cut surface 15, which assumes a slot shape extending in the direction where the part 14 is inserted. Besides, the insertion part 14 of the roll holder 13 is characterized in that the outside diameter dimension of the minimum diameter part 14b, is formed to be smaller than the minimum value of an allowable dispersion range of the inside diameter dimension of the cylindrical core material 12, and the outside diameter dimension of the maximum diameter part 14a is formed to be larger than the maximum value of an allowable dispersion range of the inside diameter dimension of the cylindrical core material 12.
