PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking mechanism for a slide fastener that can limit or inhibit relative movement between a slider and a fastener element by covering the slider. SOLUTION: A slide fastener F is installed in the opening 10A of a bag-shaped case 10. In one end corner near the opening 10A, there is mounted a single-sided cover member 11 on each outer side of the front and rear of the case 10. The cover member 11 can be folded back in a manner projecting outer side from the opening 10A. With the cover member 11 folded back, a locking lever 30 of a locking device K is inserted, for locking purpose, into a locking hole 11A formed inside the face of the cover member 11 and into a connecting hole 26 of the slider 14 comprising the slide fastener F, which inhibits releasing operation of the slide fastener F.
