PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a straddle type vehicle wherein the mounting rigidity of a headlight device can be enhanced. SOLUTION: A front fork 3 includes left and right fork bodies 26a and 26b for supporting a front wheel 4 and upper and lower brackets 27a and 27b that connect the left and right fork bodies 26a and 26b above and below the headlight device 6, respectively. The headlight device 6 includes a light body 35 and a retention member (light cover) 36 for retaining the light body 35.
