PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent device which has a high light emission efficiency, a long life, and superior color reproducibility. SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent device 1 includes a green light-emitting layer 6G, a first blue light-emitting layer 6B1, a second blue light-emitting layer 6B2, and a red light-emitting layer 6R that are laminated in this order from a side of a positive electrode 3. The first blue light-emitting layer 6B1 disposed to be closer to the positive electrode 3 contains a hole transporting material showing hole mobility greater than electron mobility and a first blue light-emitting dopant. The second blue light-emitting layer 6B2 disposed to be closer to a negative electrode 8 contains an electron transporting material showing electron mobility greater than hole mobility and a second blue light-emitting dopant.
