Fiber web's characteristics regulating method for e.g. paper machine, involves controlling temperature and humidity of fiber web by blowing air of suspension device for achieving target initial value of processing medium

The method involves arranging a deflecting suspension device (3) along a running direction of a fiber web (W) in front of a processing medium (1) carrying out measures at the fiber web. The temperature and the humidity of the fiber web are controlled by the blowing air of the suspension device for achieving a target initial value of the processing medium. The humidity of the blowing air of the suspension device is selected in such a manner that the humidity of the fiber web is changed in a desired direction. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement for regulation of characteristics of a fiber web on an optimal starting condition.
