A device (100) for controlling the display of the remaining amount of gas has a mass calculation section (112), a reference value setting section (114), and a display control section (116). The display control section (116) calculates the ratio of the mass calculated by the mass calculation section (112) to the reference value, and based on this ratio, the display control section (116) causes the remaining amount of the compressed hydrogen in the hydrogen tank (10) to be displayed on a display device (200). When compressed hydrogen is charged into the hydrogen tank (10) until the filling is limited, the display of FULL can be reliably displayed on the display device (200).
