PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold quantity of light more constant to thereby improve the component recognition accuracy, irrespective of the moving speed of a head unit, relative to image pickup means. SOLUTION: An illuminator 23 using a LED as a light source irradiates a light on a vacuum-chucked component to take its image, while a head unit 5 is moved to a camera 22 of a line sensor. The illuminator 23 intermittently illuminates every line according to an imaging instruction signal, which is generated and outputted from a signal generator 33, based on the moving speed of the head unit 5. At illumination, a current is fed only for a fixed time via a constant-current circuit to the LED of the illuminator 23 light source, thereby causing the LED to emit. |
