A boat drying device 10 is described for use in emptying water 44 from a compartment of a boat 34 having a bunghole 42 above the lowest level of the compartment. The device comprises a weight 16 and a flexible wick 12 extending from the weight, so that the weight can be inserted into the compartment through the bunghole, with the wick extending from the weight out of the compartment through the bunghole. In use, the weight weighs the wick down in the compartment into the water, and the wick wicks the water away to the outside, for example to a frayed end 22 of the wick. |
