<p>A cursor controlling system is provided to control the motion of a cursor so that the cursor on a screen can be moved together with a physical object having inertia based on the input information on a touch pad. Based on the contact information, a state determining unit(320) grasps whether the operated state of a cursor is a contact state that a finger of a user comes in contact with a touch pad, or an inertial state that the finger does not come in contact with a touch pad. If the operated state is the contact state, a displacement calculating unit(330) determines the displacement of the cursor in proportion to the movement of the user's finger. If the operated state is the inertial state, the displacement calculating unit calculates the next displacement of the cursor based on the displacement of the cursor when the user's finger is separated from the touch pad.</p> |
