METHOD FOR REMOVING SIDE LOBE LEVEL EFFECT

A method for removing the influence of a side lobe in a composite image is provided to reduce motion artifact by estimating the movement of a main lobe. A transmission and reception controller(21) transmits the beam in a non-sequential method. The transmission and reception controller groups a plurality of reception beams corresponding to the transmission beam into an increase group of a scan line index increasing direction and a decrease group of a scan line index decreasing direction. An image movement estimating and compensating unit(31) performs the auto correlation of the increase group and the decrease group. The image movement estimating and compensating unit adds up the auto correlation values after applying the weighted value to the auto correlation values.
