MOBILE TERMINAL AND BACKLIGHT LUMINANCE CONTROL APPARATUS

A mobile terminal and a backlight luminance control device thereof are provided to improve visibility of a display part by actively controlling brightness of a backlight luminance. A mobile terminal(100) includes a luminance sensor, a backlight luminance control part, and a control part(180). The luminance sensor detects luminance. The backlight luminance control part controls brightness of luminance by controlling a current of a power source outputted in a backlight luminance according to a change of luminance detected by the luminance sensor. The control part monitors an operation state of the backlight luminance control part, and changes a set value of a specific register through communication with the backlight luminance control part. The operation state of the backlight luminance control part is displayed on an indicator or a display module by a control of the control part.
