A method for producing polyester is provided to secure excellent dispersibility within resin components without generation of pinholes in a drawing process by increasing adhesion force in an interface between inorganic particles and polyester. A method for producing polyester comprises the following steps of: dispersing barium sulfate particles, which are coated with alumina, in a solvent to prepare a sol solution; and adjusting pH of the sol solution to a range of 9~12. The barium sulfate particles has 0.1-5 micron of average particle size. The 50-3,000 ppm of barium sulfate particles is inputted in the sol solution on a basis of the polyester resin components. The 0.3~2.5wt% of alumina is used on a basis of barium sulfate particles.
