A filter for the display device and manufacturing method thereof are provided to secure the flexibility by using the base including the transparency polymer resin. The filter(150) for the display device comprises the base(152), and the external light shielding pattern(154) and electromagnetic wave shielding layer(156). The base comprises the transparency polymer resin and color correction pigment. The external light shielding resin is formed in the one side of the base. The electromagnetic wave shielding layer is formed on the base. The transparency polymer resin of the base is selected in the group consisting of the polyester resin, acrylic resin, cellulosic resin, polyolefin resin, polyvinyl chloride resin, polycarbonate resin, phenol resin and urethane resin.
