METHOD FOR DISPLAYING COLOR OF 3D SURFACE PROFILE MAP

A method for displaying color of a 3D surface profile map is provided to recognize an exact pattern type of a 3D surface profile map through various color changes by removing a discontinuous strip pattern when applying histogram smoothing to a 3D surface profile map. A color index is concentrated on an area where dissimilar height distribution is concentrated in 3D surface. The level of each designated color index height is adjusted upward. If the difference of the level value between each color index height and neighboring height is 0, the same index is designated. If the difference of the level value between each color Index height and neighboring height exceeds 0, the index is designated after divided by the value in which the index exceeds the corresponding height level into equal space.
