A METHOD FOR ACQUIRING INFORMAITON FOR MEDIA INDEPENDENT HANDOVER

A method for obtaining information for intermediary independence handover which transmits periodic information before transmitting a response about an MIH query is provided to obtain the information for handover between heterogeneous networks. An MIH(Media Independent Handover) query is delivered to a base station by transmitting a primary request message(21). The response about the MIH query is received(22). The primary request message is used for authorization, authentication, a security key management and a security association. The response about the MIH query is used for the approval, authentication, the security key lock administration and security associations.
