A remote I/O unit solving a problem about practicing communications in which a master module is unable to detect one or more slave unit is provided to detect the defect of the remote I/O unit about the master unit in remote network which does not including a state frame. An over current detection unit(31) detects the excess current of the power source supplied to an external device. A switch method(32) cuts off the current supplied to the external device. A communications interface connects to the remote network without the status frame. A communications control unit(22) controls communications through a communications Interface. When the excess current was detected, the over current detection unit blocks current with the switch method. The over current detection unit transmits the current interception signal notifying of the cut off of current. |
