A method for managing the entrance and exit by using the Biometrics and a system therefor are provided to improve the face recognition success rate and efficiently manage the entrance and exit. A face image database(234) stores face image data corresponding to identification information. A face image searching part(232) searches the face image database to obtain a face image corresponding to the identification information. A lobby likelihood calculating part(236) compares the obtained face data with data about a photographed face image to calculate the likelihood. If the likelihood exists within a predetermined range, an authentication control part(238) determines the photographed face image data as a normal image and then transmits a signal, instructing to open the entrance, to a lobby phone(200).
