A switch assembly and an earphone with the same thereof are provided to slide a plate which serves as a button for selecting and adjusting the operation mode and the volume. An earphone(50) comprises a speaker(52), a switch assembly(100), and a connection jack(53). The speaker is installed in one side end portion of the wire(51). The connection jack is installed at the other side end portion of the wire. The switch assembly selects and controls the operation mode and the volume of the electronic device like the mobile communications terminal. The switch assembly comprises the first plate in which substrate is built, the second plate, a connecting member, a plurality of first contacting portions, and a plurality of second contacting portions.
