A digital broadcasting transmitting/receiving method and an apparatus thereof using a time slicing technique are provided to maximize the advantage of the time slicing technique by using a hierarchical modulation method. The controller calculates the cycle of the delta-T according to the multiple demodulation mode and single demodulation mode(S817).
