<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength conversion casting material from which an electroluminescence element can be produced which emits homogeneous mixed-colored light and can be mass-produced at reasonable engineering expense with maximally replicable component characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The wavelength conversion casting material 5 is provided for the electroluminescence element equipped with a LED chip 1 which emits ultraviolet light, blue light and/or green light, and the material 5 uses, as a base material, transparent epoxy casting resin with a luminous substance admixed, wherein inorganic luminous substance pigment powder comprising luminous substance pigments 6 consisting of the group of fluorescent substance having general formula: A<SB>3</SB>B<SB>5</SB>X<SB>12</SB>:M (wherein A represents Y, Gd or Lu, B represents Al or Ga, X expresses O, and M represents Ce<SP>3+</SP>, Tb<SP>3+</SP>, Eu<SP>3+</SP>, Cr<SP>3+</SP>, Nd<SP>3+</SP>, or Er<SP>3+</SP>) is dispersed in the transparent epoxy casting resin, and the luminous substance pigment powder has ≤5 ppm iron content. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
