An ignition device for a gaseous fuel-air mixture in a gas engine, a gas auto-engine or a diesel engine is provided to increase the lifetime of a glow plug as two different heating locations are provided for a glow pin inside a protective sleeve. An ignition device for a gaseous fuel-air mixture in a gas engine, a gas auto-engine or a diesel engine comprises: a glow pin(4) used as an ignition source; and a protective sleeve(1) separating the glow pin from fuel - air mixture. The glow pin has: one heating location(12) inside the protective sleeve; and the other location(13) receiving lower thermal load.
