<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxygen concentrator for medical use, particularly an oxygen concentrator generally called as a pressure-swing adsorption system with decreased noise. <P>SOLUTION: The oxygen concentrator is equipped with: a compressor 105; an adsorption cylinder body in which compressed air is introduced to the inside of the cylinder and nitrogen is adsorbed by a catalytic adsorbent filled in the cylinder body to separate and generate oxygen; a switching valve alternately switching flow passages between a state of introducing the compressed air into the adsorption cylinder body and a state of introducing negative pressure into the adsorption cylinder body so as to discharge nitrogen to the outside when the catalytic adsorbent is saturated with nitrogen; and a blowing fan 104 blowing the introduced air to the compressor to perform cooling. The oxygen concentrator is equipped with a sound-insulating chamber 300 configured to house the compressor via a vibration insulating member and to approximately uniformly disperse the blown air over the outer circumference surface of the compressor and then to guide the air to a discharge port. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
