PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a high speed recording of a high quality image by suppressing both of a striation-like image defect and a consistency irregularity in each case of completing an image of a predetermined region by bidirectional recordings of an odd number of times and an even number of times. SOLUTION: Recording data are intermittently removed using first intermittent removing patterns for a small ink droplet and a large ink droplet when completing an image by a bidirectional recording of an odd number of times. The differences between a summed recording rate of recording scanning in all of the forth direction and a summed recording rate of recording scanning in all of the backward direction in odd number of times recording scanning are unequalized according to these first removing patterns. Recording data are intermittently removed using second intermittent removing patterns for a small ink droplet and a large ink droplet when completing an image by a bidirectional recording of an even number of times.
