PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new diamine compound for producing an imidized polymer having higher refractive index and excellent transparency and heat-resistance, and a polyamic acid and an imidized polymer produced by using the diamine compound. SOLUTION: The diamine compound is expressed by general formula (1) (wherein R1groups are each independently a 1-3C alkyl group; the letters (a) are each independently an integer of 0-4; and the letters (b) are each independently an integer of 0-3).
