<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with and share detections such as the detection of burning deterioration of an organic light emitting diode (OLED), the detection of a temperature characteristic and the detection of a sensor panel by detection circuits of one system. <P>SOLUTION: A display device is provided with independent power sources for display and detection, display elements, switches 21 to 23 for independently connecting the power sources and the individual elements, a circuit 10 for controlling these switches 21 to 23, and a variable amplifier 16 included in a detection means to read a state of each pixel of a display panel part 2, to generate the read result in a controllable form, to switch a detection result from an external sensor part 3 and an internal detection through timing control, and to convert the detection result into a value corresponding to a detection target, whereby detection can be performed by the detection circuits of one system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
