<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive crime prevention device capable of discouraging intrusion into a house by using an air conditioner used daily in the house, and deceiving an intruder that a resident is in the house. <P>SOLUTION: The air conditioner comprises a human body detection control means 3 for detecting whether or not a person is in a room by using a human body detection sensor 8, an outdoor fan operation control means 4 capable of controlling operation of an air fan of an outdoor unit from an indoor unit, the air fan 5 of the outdoor unit, and a voice notifying means 10 for notifying setting contents of the air conditioner by voice. When it is determined that a resident is not in a room by the human body detection control means 3, even if operation of the air conditioner is stopped, only the air fan 5 of the outdoor unit is continuously operated by the outdoor fan operation control means 4.
