<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device which prevents poor fixing of a toner image by uniformly balancing right and left pressures in a lateral direction to ensure a sufficient self-stripping action and stabilizes running of an endless belt to eliminate an unnecessary space and has a configuration capable of being made small-sized and light-weight. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing device provided with a pair of fixing members 221 and 222 facing each other includes a pressure lever 230 which can be rotated in such a direction that one fixing member 221 is pressed toward the other fixing member 222 with a shaft 234 as a center of rotation. The pressure lever 230 can be switched to a pressure application position for pressing one fixing member 221 to the other fixing member and a pressure release position for separating one fixing member 221 from the other fixing member 222, and displacement in an axial-line direction of a revolving shaft 234, of an end part 230a near the revolving shaft 234 is controlled by a first control member 331 provided in the vicinity of the end part during displacement between the pressure application position and the pressure release position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
