PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method by which high production efficiency is achieved and caking in firing is prevented, in order to produce aluminum metaphosphate with high purity. SOLUTION: The production method of high-purity aluminum metaphosphate not requiring grinding operation comprises: a first step of reacting or mixing a source of phosphoric acid with an aluminum compound; a second step of firing a product obtained at the first step, at 210-370°C; a third step of allowing a product obtained at the second step to absorb moisture or water; and a fourth step of firing a product obtained at the third step, at≥400°C optionally after mixing with the product obtained at the first step. By the method, high production efficiency is achieved, caking in the firing is prevented, and high-purity aluminum metaphosphate is obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
