PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a release paper, which can prevent an occurrence of uneven luster on a surface substrate in the vicinity of a roll core of a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet reeled when the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet is reeled at a time of manufacturing the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet. SOLUTION: The release paper 2 has a mold release layer 5 coated with a mold release agent in one side of a base paper 7, and a resin layer 8 on the other side. The release paper for pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet is characterized in that the surface roughness based on JIS B 0601-1994, of the outermost layer in the resin layer side, is 1μm or more at an arithmetic mean roughness (Ra), and 8μm or more at a ten-point mean roughness (Rz).
