PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet printer enabling the user to be able to recognize the state of temperature of a platen from the outside even if a power switch is turned off when the temperature of the platen is equal to or higher than a predetermined temperature. SOLUTION: This ink-jet printer comprises an ink-jet drawing means for drawing by jetting an ink to a printing medium held by the platen, heaters 81, 83 for heating the platen, temperature sensors 91, 93 for detecting the temperature of the platen, warning lamps 131, 133 for warning when the temperature of the platen detected by the temperature sensors is equal to or higher than a predetermined temperature, the power switch 5 for turning on to supply a power supplied from the outside to a controller 100 and turning off to cut off the power, and a storage part 125 for storing power. If the power switch 5 is turned off when the platen is heated to more than the predetermined temperature, an alarm generation part 123 is driven by a power stored in the storage part 125, and warning is continuously emitted until the platen is cooled to less than the predetermined temperature.
