ETHANOL PRODUCTION

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for inactivation of gene and gene expression based on homologous recombination concerning ethanol production.

SOLUTION: In a gram-positive bacterium, ethanol production characteristics are enhanced by stabilization of lactic acid dehydrogenase gene mutation using plasmid integration based on homologous recombination of an insertion element (IE) sequence in a plasmid and a natural lactic acid dehydrogenase gene.
