PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle fault detection system, which supports preventive maintenance for a failure of the vehicle. SOLUTION: An in-vehicle device 2 has a sensor 3 which detects state data for predicting a vehicle fault, a GPS antenna 9 which acquires positional information of the vehicle, and a wireless means which samples the state data and wirelessly transmits operation information including a pair of sampled state data and acquired vehicle positional information to a ground device 10. The ground device 10 has an information processing device 11 which wirelessly receives the operation information and detects the fault of the vehicle based on wirelessly received operation information.
