PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external thermal insulating construction method for facilitating construction work and forming a thermal insulating layer securely and to provide a bolt reinforcing fitting to be used in this construction method. SOLUTION: In this external thermal insulating construction method, a heat insulating material is laid on a wall surface on an outdoor side of a skeleton wall provided with a supporting bolt to be protruded before mounting the reinforcing fitting on the supporting bolt, a leg part of the reinforcing fitting enters the skeleton wall by piercing it from an outdoor side of the laid heat insulating material, and a tightening nut is fitted on the supporting bolt inserted into a head part of the reinforcing fitting while a tip of the leg part is abutted on the skeleton wall to nip and hold the heat insulating material between the head part of the reinforcing fitting and the skeleton wall. Then, an exterior material is attached to a tip part of the supporting bolt protruding onto the outdoor side of the heat insulating material through furring strips. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
