<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for estimating vehicle consuming energy to be consumed by a drive source of a vehicle in consideration of a travelling mode of the vehicle in an intersection, and a computer program thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The method comprises predicting a behavior (any one of straight advance, right turn, left turn) of the vehicle in an intersection included in a travelling scheduled route of its own vehicle on an inductive route set by a navigation device 1 (S13, S18); acquiring attribute information (presence of a traffic signal and a crosswalk, the number of traffic lanes, and a speed limit) of the intersection or a road connecting to the intersection (S14-S17, S19-S21); calculating a vehicle stop probability on the basis of a variety of items of the acquired information and a consuming energy estimation table 48 (S22); and estimating consuming energy to be consumed by a drive motor 5 on the basis of an acceleration resistor by using the probability (S23). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
