PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling a coating fluid, which is capable of prolonging a pot life of a coating fluid using a room-temperature-curing resin material and to provide a coating fluid obtained by the administration method. SOLUTION: The method is employed for controlling a coating fluid containing at least a room-temperature-curing urethane resin and a catalyst. After the lapse of a curing time t<SB>1</SB>from the time when the coating fluid is prepared, a fresh coating fluid without curing or with curing for a shorter time than in the case of the coating fluid after the curing is added to the coating fluid after the curing. Alternatively, after the lapse of a curing time t<SB>2</SB>from the time when the fresh coating fluid is added, another fresh coating fluid without curing or with curing for a shorter time than in the case of the coating fluid after the curing is further added to the coating fluid after the curing, and this procedure is repeated.
