<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal practicing a smooth sliding operation by ensuring a sufficient quantity of sliding and sufficiently ensuring the area of an operating section. <P>SOLUTION: The portable terminal 1 has a first box body 2, a second box body 4 slidable to the first box body 2, and a tilting member 8 being fitted to the first box body 2 and raising the second box body 4 to the first box body 2.
