PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress surplus load applied to a tubular separation membrane, or the sealing part of a joint part of the tubular separation membrane and tube end part member, due to self-weight of the tubular separation membrane or thermal stress. SOLUTION: An upper tube sheet 31 and a lower tube sheet 32 are horizontally provided in a module body 11. A plurality of vertical tubular membrane separation members 12 are stretched over the upper and lower tube sheets 31, 32 in a juxtaposed manner, with respective upper openings opened upward at the upper tube sheet 31, and with respective lower openings closed. The upper ends of the respective membrane separation members 13 are fixed to the upper tube sheet 31.
