PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope in which the hardness of a flexible tube part is changeable corresponding to a longitudinal direction position though a manufacture cost is low and the strength of a covering tube constituting the surface of the flexible tube part does not get weak. SOLUTION: The endoscope is provided with long-length built-in elements 24, 29, 30 and 31 disposed inside the insertion part of the endoscope and composed of a flexible material extending along the insertion part, and lead wires 27 and 28 disposed inside the insertion part for supplying power to an LED 26 incorporated at the distal end part of the insertion part.
