<p>A processing method and device for network time delay character are disclosed. The method comprises the following steps: determining the network time delay changes or not, if the network time delay reduces, determining whether the media frame received but not played in the real-time media service comprises at least one blank frame, if yes, the blank frame is abstracted from the media frame received but not played, in which the blank frame is the media frame when the information content is smaller than the first preset information threshold or when the difference between the information content and the front media frame is smaller than the second preset information threshold, if the network time delay increases, the blank frame is inserted into the media frame received but not played. According to the present invention examples, when the network time delay changes, the present invention changes the number of the blank frames in the received but not played media frames and adjust the playing time of the received media frame to reduce or eliminate the influence caused by the network time delay to the real-time media service.</p> |
