<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent adhesion between sheets caused by a toner image. <P>SOLUTION: The sheet processing device includes: a rear end aligning plate 242 by which the upstream end of each of sheets stacked on a processing tray 205 is aligned in the direction of sheet conveyance; a gripper 241 that moves downstream in the direction of sheet conveyance while gripping a sheet on the processing tray, releases the gripping of the sheet and ejects the sheet; and a CPU 100 that controls the ejecting operation of the gripper based on image forming condition information about a toner image. When the image forming condition information indicates that sheets are less liable to cling to one another due to a toner image, the CPU performs an operation such that after sheets are stacked and aligned on the processing tray, the gripper ejects the stack of sheets.
