PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device and method which can certainly perform blurring correction while acquiring expression of a subject to be photographed. SOLUTION: The imaging device includes: a photographing image acquisition unit 130 which acquires image data of the subject focused on an imaging plane; an expression correlation calculating unit 126 which detects expression of a face of the subject from image data, and calculates an expression degree of the detected face; and a blurring correction unit 128 which corrects image data blurring produced by vibration from outside or subject movement, and makes blurring correction based on the expression degree calculated by the expression correlation unit.
