PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fuel tank that has high heat-insulating effects so as to be provided in a vehicle such as an automobile. SOLUTION: A heat-insulating member 42 arranged around a fuel tank body 14 is provided with a heat-insulating layer 44 (a core material), and covering layers 46A, 46B that cover the heat-insulating layer 44. The covering layers 46A, 46B are welded at the outer edge part of the heat-insulating layer 44 so as to constitute a covering-layer welded part 50. Accordingly, the heat-insulating layer 44 is covered and sealed. A resin of the covering layer 46A of the heat-insulating member 42 is welded with a resin on the outer face of the fuel tank body 14. The heat-insulating layer 44 is not exposed to the outside. Therefore, it prevents heat from being directly transferred to the heat-insulating layer by being in a direct contact with outside air. In addition, there is no space between the heat-insulating layer 44 and the fuel tank body 14 in order to prevent outside air from intruding therebetween.
