PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clip for an endoscope, reopening clip nails till the optimum ligature can be confirmed, and gripping a biological tissue securely and for long time while retaining the state of ligature of the tissue after the optimum ligature can be confirmed. SOLUTION: The clip 1 for the endoscope comprises a body 200 with body distal-end pawl parts 210 at the distal end and arms 220 extending from the proximal end to be opened by the self opening property, and a retractable tightening ring 300 to be inserted into the proximal end 500 of the body 200. The tightening ring 300 has a function to close the arms 220 which are opened by moving to the distal end side of the body 200. Each arm 220 has a restraining part 224 for restraining the advance of the tightening ring 300 to the distal end side of the arms, and the restraining part 224 comprises a projection having a roughly hemispherical outer surface.
