CELLULAR SYSTEM, COMMUNICATION CONTROL METHOD THEREOF, AND BASE STATION USED THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a packet transmission base station to receive HS-DPCCH with sufficient quality even when a mobile station is in a state of soft handover and sets DPCH with a plurality of base stations, and to reduce an error ratio of an ACK/NACK signal indicating whether or not packets can be correctly received, to thereby prevent a packet loss.

SOLUTION: A cellular system includes a mobile station and a plurality of base stations being in a state of soft handover with the mobile station and each setting dedicated channels with the mobile station. The dedicated channels include an uplink and a downlink dedicated channel, and each dedicated channel includes transmission power control information for the other dedicated channel. Only a specific base station in the base stations being in the state of soft handover sets a shared channel with the mobile station to perform transmission of a packet. The packet transmission base station in the system includes a means for controllably changing a target reception quality of the dedicated channel at the base station from a first value to a second value greater than the first value during the packet transmission.
