A liquid storage tank 20 is disclosed to which is attached a lifting assembly 11. The assembly 11 has a folded metal plate 13 in which is formed a channel 29, into which a threaded insert 26 is fitted. The insert may include a boss 30 which is an interference fit in an aperture 28 in the plate 13. The assembly together with a lifting eye 12 is overlaid with, e.g. glass reinforced plastics 22 to hold it to the tank 20 for lifting the tank into place. |
