APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CHANGING FUEL OF BI FUEL CAR

A fuel conversion apparatus of bi-fuel vehicles and a method thereof are provided to convert fuel for a cylinder in order of the cylinder determined in advance when the counting number of crank shaft signals reaches to a fixed value after cam signals are received. A fuel conversion apparatus of bi-fuel vehicles comprises: a cam sensor(10) being installed at a cam shaft and detecting a long tooth and outputting a cam signal; a crank shaft sensor(20) being installed at the crank shaft and sensing the tooth of a wheel and outputting a crank shaft signal; and a gasoline engine control unit(30) performing fuel conversion for a cylinder in order of the cylinders(41~44) determined in advance when the counting number of crank shaft signals reaches to a fixed value after the cam signal is received.
