An adapter configured to couple an electrical component to a slot in a host device is provided to prevent an external particle from being inserted into a slot when a 34mm express card is in a 54mm express card slot. An adapter(100) combines an electric component(350) with a slot within a host device. An electric component has at least three sides. When an adapter is combined in the electric component, the first housing unit is combined with at least two sides of the electric component. When the adapter is combined in the electric component, the second housing unit is combined with the first housing unit and combined with the first side of the electric component. When the adapter is combined in the electric component and a part of the electric component is located inside the slot within the host device, a part of the second housing unit is located in an inner side of the slot with the electric component. When the adapter is combined in the electric component and a part of the second housing unit is located inside the slot within the host device, the first housing unit is located in an external side of the slot. |
