APPARATUS FOR DETECTING ANGLE AND ANGULAR VELOCITY OF STEERING WHEEL

An apparatus for detecting angle and angular velocity of a steering wheel is provided to reduce operation error generated in a process computing angle by inputting conventional analog signal to a microprocessor. A detecting sensor part is installed under two gears engaging with a main-gear. A microprocessor(230) calculates and outputs the absolute angle of a steering system. A CAN(Controller Area Network) transmitter/receiver(240) sends and receives signals to peripheral component. The detecting sensor part generates signal by sensing the magnetic force changed with the magnetic material. The microprocessor is operated based on the sensing signal received from the detecting sensor parts. The transmitter/receiver receives the absolute angle of the steering system from the microprocessor.
